Privacy policy
This policy explains how justfreeapps.com (the "Site") processes the personal data of the people who use it, under Articles 13 and 14 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).
1. Data controller
The data controller is JFA (the "Controller").
For any request about personal data, write to privacy@justfreeapps.com.
2. What data we process
To use the tools on the Site you do not need to register and you do not give us your name or email address. We process this data:
- Uploaded files. Audio, video or other files you choose to process. They may contain personal data, for example your voice or the voice of other people, or images of people. We process them only to carry out the processing you asked for.
- Processing results. Audio tracks, clips, transcripts, summaries and texts generated from your files.
- Technical browsing data. IP address, date and time of the request, page visited, browser type and operating system. They are recorded automatically by the web server.
- Messages. The content of the emails you send us and your email address.
We do not use uploaded files to train artificial intelligence models and we do not use them for any purpose other than the processing you requested.
3. Why we process it and on what basis
- To provide the tool you asked for (processing your file and returning the result). Legal basis: performance of the service you requested, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
- Security, abuse prevention and technical operation of the Site, through server logs. Legal basis: the Controller's legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
- Answering your requests and handling reports. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) and 6(1)(f) GDPR.
- Complying with legal obligations and defending legal claims. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(c) and 6(1)(f) GDPR.
4. How long we keep data
- Uploaded files and results: they are deleted automatically within 60 minutes of processing. For this reason, once that time has passed we cannot recover them.
- Technical server logs: up to 30 days.
- Emails and reports: for as long as needed to reply and, if necessary, to protect our rights within the applicable limitation periods.
5. Who we share data with
We do not sell personal data. The following providers may process it on our behalf and only on our instructions:
- Hosting: Contabo GmbH, which hosts the servers of the Site (European Union).
- Artificial intelligence services: for the "Summary and social captions" tool, the text transcribed from your audio or video may be sent to an artificial intelligence provider that generates the summary and the social media text.
If a provider is located outside the European Economic Area, the transfer takes place with the safeguards required by Articles 44 and following of the GDPR, that is an adequacy decision of the European Commission or standard contractual clauses.
6. Cookies
At present the Site does not use cookies. You can find the details in the cookie policy.
7. Your rights
You can ask us at any time for access to your data, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and portability, and you can object to the processing (Articles 15 to 22 GDPR). Write to privacy@justfreeapps.com: we will reply within one month.
If you believe the processing violates the law, you can lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali) or with the supervisory authority of your country of residence.
8. Security
The connection to the Site is encrypted with HTTPS. We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect data, including automatic deletion of files and limited access to the servers.
9. Children
The Site is not aimed at children under 14. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, write to us and we will delete it.
10. Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version; for significant changes we will say so on the Site.
